Edwin Forrest is a fourth generation Californian based in Sacramento, CA. After a long career as a master stonemason, Forrest decided to pursue his passion for painting full time. Hours dedicated to the studio has yielded a unique style of Hard Edge abstraction that captivates the eye with its bold colorfields and ethereal textures, often created using tools from his former trade. With music as one of Forrest’s greatest influences, references to Lucinda Williams, Velvet Underground and others can be felt in the brush strokes, discovered in painting titles and heard pouring out of his studio on any given day.
